Halliburton Dividend Declaration and Share Repurchase Program Increase
Halliburton (NYSE:HAL) increased its share repurchase program by an additional $2 billion. This increase brings the aggregate remaining authorization available for repurchase to $2.8 billion.
The company also announced a 2007 third quarter dividend of nine cents ($0.09).
Founded in 1919, Halliburton is one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the energy industry.

PAYOUT YIELD ANALYSIS
With 914 million shares outstanding, the $2.8 billion repurchase program will yield $3.06 per share. The repurchase combined with an annual dividend rate of $0.36 per share would produce a Total Payout of $3.42 per share. At $35 per share, the Total Payout Yield will be 9.8% if the repurchase is completed in the next 4 quarters.
